Refund Policy

At Red Lobsta, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy outlines how refunds work for each of our products. If you have questions, reach out to support@redlobsta.com.

LobstaCloud (SaaS Subscriptions)

  • 14-day refund window — If you're not satisfied with LobstaCloud, you can request a pro-rated refund within 14 days of a new subscription or renewal. The refund will be calculated based on the unused portion of your billing period.
  • Cancel anytime — You can cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard. Your service will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No further charges will be made after cancellation.
  • Annual plans — Annual subscriptions are eligible for a pro-rated refund within 14 days of purchase or renewal. After 14 days, you may cancel but the remaining balance is not refundable.
  • Downgrades — If you downgrade your plan, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing period. No partial refund is issued for the current period.

LobstaBox (Hardware)

  • Pre-order deposits — If you placed a pre-order deposit for a LobstaBox, you may request a full refund at any time before the unit ships. Once the device has shipped, the pre-order deposit is non-refundable.
  • 30-day return policy — After receiving your LobstaBox, you have 30 days to return it for a full refund. The device must be in its original condition with all included accessories.
  • Defective units — If your LobstaBox arrives damaged or defective, contact us immediately. We will replace the unit or issue a full refund, including return shipping costs.
  • Return shipping — For non-defective returns, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked shipping method.

API Credits & Usage-Based Charges

API credits and usage-based charges (e.g., AI model calls, compute time) are non-refundable once consumed. Unused credits included in your subscription plan expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over unless specified in your plan terms.

LobstaKit (Open-Source Software)

LobstaKit is free, open-source software distributed under the MIT License. As there is no purchase involved, no refund applies.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email support@redlobsta.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
  2. Include your account email, order number or subscription ID, and reason for the refund
  3. We will process your request within 5 business days
  4. Approved refunds will be returned to your original payment method within 5-10 business days

Exceptions

We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases of abuse, fraud, or violation of our Terms of Service. If your account was terminated due to a terms violation, you are not eligible for a refund.
